Sofia is Here!

As you've all seen and heard through fb and other grapevines, we had our baby girl on Jan 6th at 11:40 pm. Sofia Kerala Roberts is a happy (sometimes) and healthy baby and everything went extremely well. Better than we ever could have hoped. We had a quick and, all things considered, easy labor here at home with our doctor, midwife, and doula. Her water broke at 5:15 and the baby was born 6.5 hrs later with no complications. Kent, Pam, and Marie are down here with us helping to do dishes, make dinner and take care of us and the baby in these first couple weeks. We have been able to do a few touristy things but now it's just hanging out with the baby and sitting the days away at home.

Elizabeth was gracious enough to let me record her telling her story of the delivery so we don't have to type it all out. It's up on YouTube and embedded below. She is a pretty mellow and happy baby and everything is going great so far. We are so happy and loving every minute with our new baby girl! Keep checking the picasa link for more pics and we will hopefully be taking some more videos here and there (though she's not too interesting right now...just eating and sleeping) so stay tuned!
